I have a lot of blogs, each one covers a different subject but as I move into the world of disqus, I can see it’s only really meant to work with one blog. I could have many disqus accounts but this seems like it will be hard work and far from worth it.
I think it’s time to concentrate on one or two blogs, I know which my most popular ones are and I know which are most personal to me.
Once I start the journey of consolodation, I realise how difficult it would actually be and how I actually want to promote each one quite so effectively.
The days remaining at work are spiraling down, I shall make a decision when I am working for myself fulltime.
We’ve finally run out of plastic bags, this is all down to using bag for lifes in almost all our shopping.
This has now forced me to face the question, what do I put in my bins to keep rubbish in?
The answer, is nothing, no bio bags, nothing. Because I can just tip my bins contents into my wheely bin, and then give it a quick rinse with the hose. - Please say NO to unecessary waste.
I saw a woman, ask for a bag for a single item a few days ago, this item was already bagged (with a handel) and she asked for a bag to put it in from the shop assistent! - We must all be pretty used to them to be like that.
Im a fan of sourcing things locally, I shop at farmers market’s to get stuff as local as possible. I believe in doing this because of the Econemy, our country’s community and the impact we have on the enviroment. I simply see no point in having a potato from Spain when it can come from down the road!
Despite farmers markets, they are not local enough or regular enough to stock my fridge every week, so I still rely on Supermarkets.
My ones of choice are Waitrose and Marks and Spencers. Waitrose tend to buy from alot of the people selling at the farmers markets, this is often meat and drink products, they are rather poor on the vegetable side though with alot of my stuff coming from overseas. Well god bless marks and spencers, today I got beef, potatos, spring onions, red, orange and yellow peppers and spinach. ALL of it is from the UK.
We went to the Brache (Beefeater) on Saturday, service was good but sadly the portions were small / heavily over cooked. It was clear that the kitchen were just not bothered as i’ve been before and had wonderful food.
When we complaigned we got great service and the meals taken off of our bill, let’s hope this was a one off as it’s a nice place to go in Luton on a weekend if you don’t want to sit ina pub gone nightclub type place.
These are balls that you put in your washing machine instead of powder or tablets, apparantly they last for 1000 washes saving you 70 boxes of powder. I wonder if they actually work? I think i’ll try it.
